Tudung People X PAM
During Merdeka in the year 2023, I collaborated with Tudung People and Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) to create a special collection of tudungs that represent iconic buildings in Kuala Lumpur.

Three illustrators were invited to this collaboration, which are Mun, Adibah and me. Each of us was given a building to illustrate on the tudung and the building I was responsible for emulating was the National Museum also known as Muzium Negara. On the other hand, Mun's building was Stadium Merdeka and Adibah's architecture was the Parliament Building.

I visited the building and recorded elements and ornaments that are expressed in the facade, which I extracted and created a pattern out of it.
The pattern were laid randomly at first to get the overall feeling and was put into a grid like manner to create a logic behind the arrangment.
The colours and fine tuning of the work was then carried out later by Tudung People. Each building collection would have 2 colours, one more gentle and the another bolder. The colours they gave for my piece was black and beige.
