For Art's Sake 2023
I was invited by GOFY to be part of an exhibition in Singapore called For Art's Sake. The theme of the exhibition was to invite artists to reimagine iconic Western art by injecting modern Southeast Asian flavour and style.

63 artists were selected and the works are located at 21 locations across Singapore!

The exhibition ran from 14 October 2023 – 28 January 2024.

Title: Hot, humid, heavy & harsh
This piece references Edvard Munch's painting The Scream; the central figure's expression and background composition remind the artist of the feeling she gets when she's trapped on a busy highway in Kuala Lumpur. The sheer traffic, noise, smell and heat overwhelm her body and soul, and it's a transitional space that most Malaysians have to experience on a daily basis. She questions why this is the reality we are living in.
