Illustration
World Bank Group

A cover illustration for the Islamic Finance and Climate Agenda report produced by the World Bank Group. I wanted to capture a sense of connection, collaboration, and hope through this illustration. The image shows two tables, one representing Malaysia, the other the Middle East, each filled with elements of sustainable, green cities rooted in their own cultural identities. I imagined these tables as places of gathering, where ideas and solutions are shared. The rail connecting them symbolizes friendship, movement, and the flow of knowledge between regions. Through this piece, I hoped to reflect the World Bank Group’s vision of cross-regional partnership and progress, how we can face global challenges like climate change and urban growth not in isolation, but side by side. Although Malaysia and the Middle East are far apart, I wanted to show how shared values can bridge distance. This artwork is about unity, about the power of coming together, and how a greener, more inclusive future can be built when we connect, listen, and grow together.

The sketches and it's evolution.
